Dean Rhys-Morgan and Jeremiah Goodman Exhibition and Book Signing at Ralph Lauren, Highland Park Village

Date: Monday, October 7, 1 to 3 pm, at the Ralph Lauren boutique. *Please note the time change.

Who: Editor, writer, stylist Dean Rhys-Morgan with an exhibition and sale of Jeremiah Goodman illustrations, fascinating talk and book signing of the lush monograph, Jeremiah: Inspired Interiors.

What: Dean, himself is a throw-back with pitch-perfect Beau Brummel elegance, and an intimate working knowledge of Jeremiah’s works and process. In an illustrated talk, Dean showcases the late Jeremiah Goodman’s illustrations of the celebrated rooms of Bill Blass, Diana Vreeland, Oscar and Francoise de la Renta, Marlene Dietrich, Carolina Herrera, Nancy and Ronald Reagan, Betsy Bloomingdale, Reed Krakoff, Cecil Beaton, Mary Wells Lawrence, Elsie de Wolfe, Tony Duquette, and more. This will be followed by a book signing. Exhibition of illustrations will remain on view; originals as well as signed and numbered giclee prints are for sale. 

Street cred: Dean styled with Isabella Blow at Tatler, and worked with Jeremiah for nine years, until Jeremiah’s death in 2017.

Decorations: Jeremiah was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 1987. He illustrated the covers for Interior Design magazine for 15 years, until late 1964.

Published: Jeremiah’s illustration were published worldwide. Did you really have a noteworthy home if Jeremiah did not paint it? Some say no.

What: Accessory, fabric and interior designer Penny  lives between  her London home and Welsh manor house.  With a reputation for pairing pattern and color for refined, bohemian, “undone” interiors, her collections of lamps, cushions, tableware, lighting and vases are rich with Turkish embroidery and Japanese textiles, Anglo-Indian symbols and Ancient Greek motifs, inspired by cultures around the world and throughout history. Her Welsh manor house appears in  Lisa Fine’s, new book, Near & Far: Interiors I Love. Her collections are carried around the world, including at Hollywood at Home in LA and James Showroom in Dallas and Austin.

Street cred: Her first collection that started it all was the “floppy linen.”
